Ohhh boy, do I have a blog post for you today! I have been dying to share this wedding with you!! Over the summer, the hubs and I had the privilege to photograph the Reid + Erin’s beautiful Michigan wedding!! What a gorgeous day, incredible venues, and beautiful people!! Get ready for a photo overload!
I started the day with the ladies in Erin’s parents’ cottage. They were such a sweet group of gals and love Erin so well. Pip, Erin’s pup, joined the fun too.
The details were stunning. Erin’s incredible lace dress, her vintage wedding ring, the pearls her parents gave her as a wedding gift, her rockin’ shoes, the hand-tied lavender bouquets… everything was superb.
Erin’s the baby of four, with three older brothers, so suffice it to say that she has her daddy’s heart. Erin and her dad wanted to do a special first look before the wedding. Oh, what a sweet moment that was for the two of them. These moments are what make me honored to be a photographer. These are the captures that tell not just the story of the wedding day, but of a lifetime of love. Especially between a daddy and his baby girl.
While I was with the ladies, Smitty was capturing the handsome groom and his fine fellas. They’re a good lookin’ crew, huh? And how about those little guys? Doesn’t get much cuter!
And of course, the lovely ladies…
There was such a sweet spirit about their day. So much love and beauty. So much glory given to God. Such an honor to capture these precious moments.
The gate in the photos below was Erin’s grandmother’s. When she passed away, the family moved the gate to Erin’s parent’s cottage. I love when we can incorporate bits of a family legacy in wedding photos!
Erin and her dad had planned a brilliant choreographed dance that was just so fun to watch! In the middle of the song, Dad passed Erin off to her oldest brother. Shortly after, her other two brothers cut in and ramped up the hilarity of the ordeal! I could not stop laughing while I was editing these photos!!
Right before sunset, I stole the bride and groom for a quick walk to the beach. I’ve been obsessed with these images ever since!
Then the party could really start!! What a great group of people!!
Reid + Erin, thanks again for letting us a part of your fabulous day!! We had a blast and hope you look back on these photos and smile for years to come!!
