Joey + Alyssa recently celebrated their 7 month anniversary and since they’re getting ready to head out for a grand new adventure halfway across the country, I thought it was high time we share their beautiful lavender-themed wedding on the blog! (And we’ll pretend I timed it that way on purpose!) This precious couple has such a sweet and tender love for each other and it was evident at every moment on their wedding day. From the moment Joey saw his beautiful bride, tears filled his eyes and kept coming throughout the ceremony! Then, in a symbolic gesture to demonstrate their servant hearts towards one another, Alyssa + Joey chose to wash each other’s feet. Throughout their ceremony, they continuously spoke of their thankfulness to God for writing their love story that was so much more than either of them could ever have imagined!

Not only do these two have an unashamed, unconditional love for each other, but they are also so deeply loved by their family and friends! Many of their family members and friends played pivotal roles in their day! Members of Alyssa’s family created all of the breath-taking florals, catered the event, and even made the elegantly rustic (and delicious!) cake! Joey’s sister took a nontraditional role of being a groom’s lady and their sibling bond was such a sweet thing to witness. And The whole day wouldn’t have been possible if Alyssa’s family members hadn’t opened up their beautiful home and hosted the wedding which took place in their sprawling backyard! It was an absolute JOY to be a part of this couple’s wedding! Happy (belated) 7 month anniversary, Joey + Alyssa, and many blessings on your new road ahead!
