About a week and a half ago, we had the opportunity to photography one of the sweetest couples around. We met Jessica + David for the first time that evening, but I could tell through our emails and text messages in the week prior that it was going to be a great session. Imagine my disappointment when I woke up to a huge thunderstorm that morning! Jessica and I talked about alternate locations, but she assured me that we’d be fine because she did a “Rain-go-away” dance. I told her I was confident in her dancing abilities and we’d see how the day played out. And sure enough, we had a BEAUTIFUL evening in a gorgeous location!
The center stone in Jessica’s engagement ring is a family heirloom. I love when pieces can be passed down through the generations – what a tangible portrait of family legacies!
Y’all, they were the cutest. She told me in our first online consult that they loved to dance and it was so sweet to be able to capture it in person. There’s something so romantic and honest about a couple dancing together. The closeness, the expressions, the tangible chemistry. Love.it.all.
David gave Jessica a beautiful rosary for her birthday, and it was really important that they were able to get some pictures of it. Their faith is the foundation of their love and that was so incredibly obvious in our time spent together!
Can we talk about her stunning blue eyes for a minute. Seriously. Gorgeous.
They are so in love and it shows. Sometimes couples feel awkward about getting their pictures taken and it turns them into some sort of weird, robotic, shy pair of people. Not Jessica and Dave. Their love is evident and genuine and such an honor to be able to witness!
Sigh. Between the beautiful couple, the perfect evening, and the gorgeous light we had, this session was a photographer’s dream. Thank you, Jessica + David, for letting us spend our evening with you, capturing your love. Can’t wait to stay in touch and see you again at your wedding in December!
