Nick + Meg. These two are the real deal. Down to earth, genuine and kind, crazy about one another, lovers of Jesus, surrounded by a tribe of incredible people, and a heck of a lot of fun! Their October wedding day at Memorial Presbyterian Church and Windows on Washington was chilly and gray outside, but bright and joy-filled everywhere else. I’m certain nothing could wipe the smiles from their faces throughout the entire event!
We started the day with prep + bridal party photos at Memorial, where everyone was having a blast simply spending time together. The guys got goofy while the girls doted on Meg, the gleaming bride-to-be! I mean, how can you not?! She’s stunning!! A little before the ceremony, Nick + Meg snuck out to the front steps of the church to steal a few moments alone together. They opted to not see each other before the ceremony, but they still shared notes they had written for one another (Nick had been keeping a journal for Meg for a month!), and took a few minutes to pray together, thanking God for His providence in their journey and the beauty of the covenant they were about to enter. It was one of my favorite “first (not) look” moments of the year and think the images from it are oh, so sweet.
After the ceremony, we braved the dreary, drizzly weather for a few photos at Forest Park before heading into their reception at Windows on Washington, where a cake smash of epic proportions ensued, followed by a set of emotional speeches, and a never-ending-dance party. Seriously, y’all, that dance floor was PACKED. They exited the reception through a walkway of loved ones, smiling and cheering for them as they entered their new life ahead.
Nick + Meg, it was so fun to be able to document your day. You two are clearly made for one another and I know the Lord is going to use you to shape His Kingdom in the years to come! Praying many blessings over your journey!
