St. Louis Wedding at College Church and The Caramel Room | John + Brook

The first time I “met” Brook, we were halfway across the country from each other, she was in her classroom in Arizona and I was in my studio in St. Peters. We bonded over faith and tiny humans (Brook was MADE for teaching, y’all), and the importance of investing in professional photography that will become a tangible piece of your family legacy. Brook’s bright + bubbly personality quickly earned her the title of my “Arizona BFF.” as she texted me photos of her + John, told me all about their unlikely love story + wedding planning journey, and followed our little family on social media. It was incredibly obvious to me that not only would she be a special client to us, but that the relationship that she + John share is also one-of-a-kind and it was going to be a blast to have the chance to play a small part in that.

When I met John for the first time at their engagement session at City Garden + Busch Stadium, I knew exactly why Brook adored him so. He’s funny and charming and the perfect balance of spontaneity and steady to her. These two dated many years ago, broke up and went their separate ways only to later reconnect and realize without a doubt that they were meant to be together. Their fairy tale love story became a reality on their dreamy wedding day at St. Francis Xavier College Church and The Caramel Room at Bissinger’s.

The day started sunny, but turned rainy and cold during portraits in Forest Park. That didn’t stop these two for an instant. They just kept smiling and kept snuggling. The way John looks at Brook will melt you. Their first look photos still have me grinning. His sheer excitement at seeing his bride for the first time was perfection, y’all. I could go on and on, but I think I’ll hush for now and just let the images speak for themselves. Some highlights to keep a look out for include Brook’s stunner of a dress, their gorgeous succulent florals, the epic cake smash, and the classic night photos at the always lovely Caramel Room.
