Oh gracious, I could write a novel about this crew. I met Evan + Erica 10 years ago in my Freshman year of college (wow! that makes me feel old!), and we’ve grown to be such dear, dear friends. Evan and I traveled and played music together throughout college, while Erica and I fought over boys and friends. 😉 Just kidding. Sort of. But truly, the Lord has been gracious to keep us all in one place and spur on what has become a more beautiful friendship than I could have ever imagined. And if you’re a client of ours, you may have heard mention of Erica because she’s been my fabulous office assistant for the the past year! She keeps me from losing my mind by dealing with all of the behind the scene stuff like expense sheets and client sites and packaging all of our products! Seriously, couldn’t have survived this past year without her!
In October of 2015, Erica gave birth to their 2nd baby, a a full-term, precious girl named Millie. Millie was born still and her life + death rocked our worlds. I volunteer for an organization called On Angels’ Wings that provides bereavement photography for families walking through infant and child loss so I see stillbirths often, but this one shook me. I had the honor and privilege to be able to photograph Millie on the day she was born and have been so blessed to be able to continue to document their journey over the last year and a half. God used Millie’s death to impact so many people and he has used Evan + Erica’s unwavering faith as a testimony to the goodness of Jesus, even in the midst of the darkest season of their life.
In February, we ventured around Soulard to grab a few photos of them as a family of three before their sweet girl arrives. It was seriously FREEZING, but these three were total troopers, even little Charlotte! Erica is ready to have baby girl #3 any day now and I’m so excited to see her precious face! She is already more loved than she can fathom and has a whole tribe of people anxiously awaiting her arrival! Until then, I’ll just keep reminiscing over their darling maternity photos!
