Chic Greenery Themed Wedding at Lumen | Trent + Allie

Oh boy, today’s wedding is a beauty! Trent + Allie are the epitome of joy-filled love and every part of their day had us smiling from ear to ear! These two met in high school and have been together for almost 10 years and it was so fun getting to hear their love story retold by so many friends and family throughout the day! At their engagement session, I quickly realized that these two are about as adorable together as they come, but their wedding day pretty much solidified that for me. There’s something so special about a couple that has grown up together, a couple that has seen each other so many big stages of their lives and is as equally as excited for all the years that still lie ahead. I think that’s what I love most about Trent + Allie; that after all these years they’re even more head over heels for each other than they were as teenagers!

Their wedding day was perfect from beginning to end. We started the day with prep at the Marriott St. Louis Grand, and instantly fell in love with Allie’s fabulous group of girls. Together, we ooh-ed and ahh-ed over Allie’s stunning lace dress and every beautiful detail that accompanied it. Trent + Allie exchanged sweet gifts, which got the waterworks started early in the morning! We did a quick first look outside the hotel, complete with angry alleyway drivers, lots of horn honking and shouting. To be clear, they weren’t mad at us, but at a shuttle bus blocking the entire street. It did make for an interesting shooting predicament though!

Their ceremony was held at Epiphany Lutheran Church, where both Allie’s parents and grandparents were married. Such a special location that held much emotion for so many people at the wedding. Allie was over the moon to see her groom and had to stop halfway down to aisle because she was laugh-crying so much! I just adore this girl and the way she exudes every emotion so tangibly!

And finally, we hopped over to Lumen, one of my favorite event spaces in the city for their STUNNING reception! Allie + Trent had a vision for a classically chic day filled with greenery and a soft color palate. The gray, white and green scheme was perfect for Lumen’s massive ceilings and historic character. Every detail was perfect from the beautiful centerpieces to the custom designed menus to the simple, but chic three-tiered cake. Once their reception began, the festivities didn’t slow down for a moment. Laughter could be heard all across the room and you just knew every single person there was having a fabulous time! Especially when it came to their massive dance party. Allie was a dancer and she and her dance gals busted a move to every single song, especially those 90’s boy band tunes. 😉

Trent + Allie, y’all are the best. I can’t believe your day has already come and gone and I’m so glad we were able to be a part of it! It was so much fun and oh so beautiful! Hope you’re having an incredible time in Hawaii! Can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images and your feature film when you get home!
