Star Wars Schlafly Tap Room Wedding | Neil + Molly

Neil + Molly are the kind of couple that just make you smile to be around. They don’t take themselves too seriously, are always ready to have a good time, and are pretty much perfect for each other. When I first met them, they spoke of not just their love for one another, but also their affinity for all things Star Wars and craft beer. We even did part of their engagement session at Urban Chestnut Brewery! It came as no surprise that their day would be filled with two of their favorite things in all the world! I love when couples incorporate the things they love into their day and Molly + Neil had no shortage of unique little details throughout! There were subtle Star Wars nods in each part of the day like Molly’s lightsaber bouquet base, Neil’s Darth Vader tie clip, the darling handmade ring bearer pillow, and the slideshow at the reception. For the craft beer side of the things, the Schlafly Tap Room was obviously a perfect choice for their reception venue, where the tables were distinguished by their favorite craft beers and the open bar was abundant!

For everything else, Molly + Neil chose a simple green and white color scheme with some soft purple and gray accents. It was the perfect, oh-so-classy backdrop for everything else in their day. Their paper suite was stunning, the succulent-filled florals were INCREDIBLE, the dessert bar crafted by Molly’s sister, Mel, was delicious, and Molly’s gorgeous tulle dress and flawless hair and makeup totally set the stage for the rest of the afternoon! Oh, and since their wedding was just two days before the eclipse, Molly and Neil gave eclipse glasses as favors to all of their guests! It was the perfect gift and totally practical! Smitty and I definitely put them to use during the eclipse! So fun!

Beyond all the lovely details though, it’s obvious that these two are well loved by many. They come from the sweetest of families and are surrounded by a fabulous group of friends who clearly think the world of them! There was a genuine excitement from everyone in attendance to see these two start their lives together! I’m pretty sure nothing was going to take the smile from Molly’s dad Wayne’s face! He was truly, over the moon, delighted for his daughter and it was so sweet to witness! It was evident that there was a sense of purpose and legacy in the commitment they were making to one another. Even during prep, Molly got dressed in a room filled with family portraits from generations past. Strong women, strong marriages, beautiful heritages. Looking around, it was such a sweet symbol of a family well-rooted and devoted to one another in every season. I know that Neil + Molly are covered in the love and support from those closest to them on every side and it was a joy to be able to document their day celebrating just that!
