I have a confession to make: I was a terrible blogger in 2015. Like, really terrible. Like, of the 20 weddings we did last year, I only blogged one, terrible. Yep. Yikes.  

I’m determined to be a better blogger (and all around social media-er) this year. And that means that in addition to sharing our current sessions + weddings, I’ll also be pulling from the archives and sharing last year’s (incredibly tardy) blogs too! So in honor of a good ol’ #throwbackthursday, here’s Neil + Jill’s super fun celebration at Scape Restaurant in St. Louis.

   When I think of Neil + Jill’s day, the one word that keeps coming to mind is celebration. Every part of their day was filled with joy. From their emotional first look to their incredibly sweet ceremony to the epic dance party that ensured that evening. Jill wore her Mother’s wedding dress, Neil wore a rad suit from Topman. Instead of a traditional bridal party, they invited their closest friends to just be near during the day. No formalities, no fuss. Just a celebration of their love and the life they’re building together. 

    Their reception at Scape was stunning. Each table was adorned with gorgeous florals + table numbers custom designed by the bride’s sister, Alyssa. And to add to the fun, the table numbers were held in place by selfie sticks! Brilliant! It was so fun watching each table document their experience and share them using Neil + Jill’s hashtag, #theperfectmixture. 

    And then the epic dance party. So. Much. Dancing. The party never slowed down!  Here’s just a glimpse, but to see it in action, check out their highlight reel below!!
